The strong horizontal movement became the driving factor in creating architecture from the formal language of a Lamborghini. The language integrated into the design became the solution to shaping balconies for the residential units. The transition of massing and horizontal flow staggers and generates a vivid moment on the building’s facade when it terminates. With the existing floor plan and fenestration pattern to remain untouched, the white aluminum panels create a floating mass that is in motion from that of the shell masked behind. The design of the balconies achieve both a streamlined approach while attaining a craftsmanship rarely seen in traditional Chinese residential high-rises.
