Senior Project Designer
Kaikang Shen has more than 12 years of working experience on a broad range of cultural, educational, official, residential and commercial projects; from large-scale master planning, mix-used architecture, to small-scale installations. His work has been multiple national prize in China and many articles have been published in Chinese national core journals.
He is a registered architect in China. Before coming to the United States, he was the Design Director of the professor’s studio at Nanjing University Institute of Architecture and Planning, while having many years of experience in graduate teaching.
Before joining Archimorphic, he was a Project Designer at Gensler and Perkins and Will for a couple of years.
Kaikang earned his Master of Science in Design from the University of Pennsylvania and his Master of Architecture from the Nanjing University in China.
Currently, he specializes in nonlinear and parametric design, digital fabrication, and 3D printing.
